THE CONCEPT

Jane Marceau was created as a response to the excess of fast fashion and the pace at which clothing is produced and discarded. We believe that garments should not be disposable, but designed with intention, worn with ease, and kept over time.

We work exclusively with deadstock fabrics: existing materials that would otherwise remain unused, allowing us to reduce waste while creating pieces with character and quality. Each collection is produced in limited quantities, avoiding overproduction and preserving a more thoughtful approach to making.

All of our pieces are made in Portugal, where we can ensure a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Keeping production close allows us to maintain control over quality while staying aligned with our values of care and precision.

OUR HOME

Portugal is one of Europe’s leading textile hubs, known for its high-quality cotton, linen, and wool production.

The country has a long history of textile manufacturing, especially in the northern regions like Guimarães, Braga, and Porto.

Portuguese mills are recognized for their innovation, ethical practices, and sustainable production, often working with organic and recycled materials.
